According to Tasnim News Agency, Ali Bahreini Safir was in the jury for the selection of the deputy general secretary of this period. The Islamic Republic of Iran is present in Geneva as a representative of the Asia-Pacific Group.
In this regard, on Tuesday, the representative of the Philippines met and discussed with Bahraini as one of the candidates for the post of Vice President of Management and Reform.
Bahreini, in a meeting with Philippine Ambassador Carlos de Sorta and Mrs. Marie Taraz Vega, a candidate for the post of the International Organization for Migration, while announcing Iran’s expectations from the new management team in the field of immigrants, noted: Iran as one of the The big host countries have contributed a lot towards the reform of the organization’s budget and will continue this constructive interaction. At the same time, we believe that the donor countries should not take over the organization’s decision-making powers due to their financial contributions.
Bahrini added in this meeting: In order to deal comprehensively and adopt a “whole government approach” to the issue of refugees, The National Migration Organization was formed with the participation of all relevant institutions in Iran. The formation of this organization shows Iran’s serious determination to find and implement sustainable solutions for the problems of immigrants in Iran.
