According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, the US State Department in an official letter to Congress, announced its agreement to sell 40 F-16 fighters and update 79 F-16 fighters to Turkey worth 23 billion dollars. The US Department of Defense has also agreed to sell fighters to Turkey.
The US Congress has 15 days to review and announce its opinion on this matter, and if there are no objections from the congress representatives, it will be officially approved.
