Signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the meeting between the Speaker of the Senate of Uzbekistan and the President of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank in London.

According to the Fars News Agency correspondent in Tashkent, “Tenzila Narbayeva” the Speaker of the Senate of Uzbekistan and “Odil Renault-Basu” the President of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank met in the city of “London” and at the end of this meeting a memorandum of understanding was signed. Cooperation was signed.

In this meeting, it was noted that the 32nd annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank was successfully held in “Samarkand” in May last year.

It should be noted that during the past 6 years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction has reached a new qualitative level.

Now The bank’s portfolio of projects in Uzbekistan has exceeded 4 billion euros. With the financial support of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank, vital projects aimed at improving people’s well-being and creating new jobs are implemented. It has become the largest business partner of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction in Central Asia.

In this meeting, the fields of joint initiatives implemented between Uzbekistan and the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction were discussed. .

Therefore, within the framework of the strategy of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank for Uzbekistan, it is proposed to set up a program to support young people, focusing on their participation in scientific activities, development of innovation and assistance for the development of business and entrepreneurship.
