According to the report of the international group Tasnim news agency quoting “De Site” magazine, in several European cities, many citizens protested against Israel.
These protests were held in Madrid, Rome and Milan. Supporters of Palestinians have demonstrated against Israel in many places. Despite the official ban, several thousand people took to the streets in Rome on the so-called Holocaust Memorial Day. According to the police, hundreds of participants took part in the protests in various other cities. These protests were held peacefully in most areas. In Milan, where about 1200 people came to the streets, there were clashes with the police.
After the request of the right-wing government of Rome, the authorities in charge to prevent hateful slogans against Israel. They created restrictions against these protests.
Thousands of people also demonstrated in Madrid, the capital of Spain, against the actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. In this protest march, the participants carried banners that read “Stop the Genocide in Palestine”. Many waved the Palestinian flag. According to officials, about 20,000 people participated in the demonstration. Where are the demonstrators chanting sanctions against Israel? and some called for a boycott of Israel.
Spain is one of the fiercest critics of the military operations of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip in the European Union. Internationally, Israel has been repeatedly called upon to better protect the civilian population and allow emergency aid.
