A group of Israeli rabbis called for the re-occupation of the Gaza Strip

A number of Israeli rabbis, on the eve of a right-wing conference in occupied Palestine, emphasized that the re-occupation of the southern Gaza Strip is the only suitable solution for Israel.

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, today Sunday (January 28) the occupied Jerusalem is witnessing the holding of a conference of Israeli rightists on the topic of finding a solution for the day after the war in Gaza.

With this issue, the occupied Jerusalem is supposed to host the presence of right-wing elements and parties in a conference that wants to answer this question of “the day after the war”.

According to news website “0404” Israel, this conference is supposed to be held under this title “Settling [in the southern Gaza Strip] is the only way that will bring security and victory”.

The conference will be attended by rabbis from Samaria [north of the West Bank] and Sderot. . Rabbi Safed Shmuel Eliyahu, head of the Community Rabbis Association and son of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, called for the re-occupation of the Gaza Strip and considered it the only Israeli solution for the Gaza Strip.

Shmuel Eliyahu said: “The real solution for the Gaza Strip is simple. Everyone knows it. It is for the Jews to return there, to Gush Qatif [south of the Gaza Strip], to their home, to their ancestral land. This is the true solution and any other solution will be doomed to failure. In my opinion, one should be brave and speak the truth openly”.

Rabbi David Fandel, head of the Hasder school in Sderot, said: This is our mission. To be brave and determined… to return to Gush Qatif [Gaza Strip].

Rabbi Eliakim Levanon, the Rabbi of Samaria [West Bank] also said: “These days we are witnessing the great courage of the soldiers of the Israeli army… those who are trying to take Gush Qatif [south of the Gaza Strip] under to take control and return to where we left eighteen and a half years ago”.

Israel’s 0404 news website further quoted supporters of the re-occupation of the Gaza Strip and wrote: “The only thing It can be a useful solution and guarantee that we are a nation in security in the whole land, the return of settlements and Jewish rule and absolute sovereignty over Gush Qatif [southern Gaza Strip].

The Gaza strip was occupied by the Zionist regime until 2005. Ariel Sharon, the prime minister at the time, proposed the plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip in 2003, and it was approved and implemented in the Cabinet in 2004 and in the Parliament (Knesset) in 2005, and Israel evacuated 21 Israeli settlements and eight thousand Jews in the Gaza Strip, but until today It has put it under severe siege and controls the air, land and sea space of Gaza. It is the International Court of Justice that was issued to Israel last Friday.

Last Friday, the International Court of Justice, in response to South Africa’s request to quickly take a position in its complaint against Israel on the charge of genocide in Gaza, asked Israel within a month of its military actions in Gaza. It does not act in the direction of genocide and to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches the people of Gaza and to send its report to the court within one month.

At the end of December, South Africa sued Israel for genocide in the Gaza war and demanded an immediate verdict in this regard.
