According to Webangah News quoted by Tasnim News agency, local sources reported yesterday, Monday, that in the attack of armed men 22 civilians were killed in a village in Tillabari region in western Niger, near the border of Mali. Niger officials stated that 20 motorcyclists, each carrying two armed men, entered the village and started shooting. They targeted the people of the village, and in this attack, a number of the residents of the village were killed.
Tilabari district is located on the common border between the countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. Terrorist groups related to Al-Qaeda and ISIS often carry out terrorist attacks in this region.
On August 25 this year, 17 soldiers lost their lives in a similar terrorist attack on a military convoy in the Tilabari region. 20 soldiers were also injured.
