According to the Fars News Agency reporter in Dushanbe, during the meeting of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan, Alireza Haghigian, with Khairuddin Osmanzadeh, the head of the Presidential Strategic Research Center, the interest of the two countries in expanding research cooperation was discussed. and studies were emphasized.

The ambassador of our country, referring to the growing trend of relations between the two countries, added: “During the recent months, we have witnessed the mutual visits of high-ranking officials of the two friendly countries and We were speaking together, including the President and Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to Tajikistan and holding a specialized exhibition of Iran-made goods, at the same time as holding the 16th Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation in “Doshanbe”. Also, recently the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tajikistan and the Mayor of Dushanbe made a fruitful trip to Tehran. Referring to the historical, cultural, civilizational and linguistic links between the two countries as well as common positions regarding regional and international issues, he announced the readiness of his respective center to strengthen cooperation with research and study centers of Iran and the need to increase these cooperations and play a greater role. The parties emphasized the growing trend of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
It is worth noting that in the last two years between the Strategic Research Center of the Presidency of Tajikistan and a number of relevant centers of the Islamic Republic Iran, including the Office of Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tehran Institute of International Studies and Research and Allameh Tabatabai University have signed new cooperation agreements.
