Deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of employment

According to the Fars News Agency correspondent in Tashkent, representatives of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federal Service of Labor and Employment met in the city of “Tashkent” and discussed issues of mutual cooperation in the fields of professional training, labor migration and labor inspection.
This ceremony was held in the city of “Tashkent” with the presence of heads of relevant departments and ministries within the framework of the Uzbekistan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Also, the issues of providing suitable and safe working conditions, social support, protection of life and health, protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens working in Russia, as well as the creation of reliable mechanisms in these fields were discussed.
The members of the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the South Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) vocational training center.
Russia is one of the biggest economic and trade partners of Uzbekistan. The trade exchange of these two countries in 2023 is at the level of 9 billion and 800 million dollars.
Currently, more than 961 units of joint ventures with Russian investment are operating in Uzbekistan. The representation of 64 Russian companies has been registered in Uzbekistan.
In Russia, more than 560 companies operate in various fields with the partnership of Uzbek investors.
Russia recognized the independence of this country on March 20, 1992, and diplomatic relations were established between the two countries on this day.
