According to Fars International News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister said on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey soon. This will be Putin’s first visit to a NATO member country after Russia invaded Ukraine 2 years ago.
According to the news agency a href=”https://apnews.com/article/putin-turkey-visit-black-sea-grain-nato-1af0b6253cb7fb80a7f12b340623fc8c”>Associated Press Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Putin’s visit Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be focused on a new way to allow the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
He did not mention a date for this trip, but Turkish media reported that Putin will visit this country in a week.
Turkey is looking Maintaining good relations with Russia and Ukraine, their neighbors on the Black Sea. While refusing to join Western sanctions against Moscow, it also supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity and provides weapons to Kiev.
Referring to the previous agreement that lasted for a year before Russia’s withdrawal in July, Fidan said, “Now it has been seen that it is possible to move with another mechanism.”
Turkey, through the United Nations, helped in this agreement to provide safe passage through Ukrainian ports.
