According to the foreign policy group of Fars News Agency, following the baseless accusations of the United States against Iran, Amir Saeed Irvani, the ambassador and permanent representative of Iran to the United Nations, rejected these baseless accusations in a letter to the Security Council.
This letter states: In continuation of previous correspondence, including letters dated December 4, 2023, January 2, and January 30, 2024 (S/2023/953, S/2024/9, S /2024/110), the present correspondence was prepared in response to the letter dated February 2024 (S/2024/135) of the Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations.
In this letter Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the military operations carried out by the United States of America on the territory of Iraq and Syria on February 2, 2024, while firmly rejecting the baseless accusations contained in the relevant letter against the Iranian armed forces, it is stated: Illegal operations have deliberately targeted civilians and essential infrastructure, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries among civilians.
Irvani noted in this letter that such illegal actions are not It is not only a violation of international laws and the United Nations Charter, especially Article 2 (4), but also endangers the peace and stability of the region and is considered a serious threat to international peace and security.
