According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Feridon Sinirlioglu, the special coordinator of the United Nations for Afghanistan, stated in a meeting with “Mohammed Abdul Kabir”, the political deputy of the Taliban prime minister: “No one is trying to collapse the Islamic Emirate, but everyone wants Kabul to have a relationship with the international community.
Sinirlioglu urged the Taliban to participate in the Doha meeting and continued: Good decisions will be made at the meeting about Afghanistan, and positive changes will appear in Afghanistan’s relations with the world after this conference.
The UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan added: The World Bank will hold a meeting in the near future regarding Afghanistan, where they will discuss the growth of Afghanistan’s banking sector, the end of sanctions and the resumption of half-finished projects of the World Bank in Afghanistan.
Abdul Kabir also said in this meeting that Kabul approves the major part of Sinirlioglu’s recent report, but with the part that calls for the selection of a new special representative for Afghanistan has become, he does not agree.
He added that the Taliban welcomes the beginning of the half-finished projects of the World Bank in Afghanistan and expressed hope in the upcoming Doha meeting in line with the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Human aid and the removal of sanctions from the banking system, effective steps should be taken.
