Examining the economic future of Central Asia at the “Geneva” meeting

In the meeting of United Nations special representatives for Central Asian economies, the issue of strengthening regional trade and economic cooperation was discussed.

According to the Fars News Agency reporter, in Dushanbe, the meeting of the coordinators of the United Nations Special Program for the Central Asian Economies was held in Geneva under the chairmanship of Sharaf Shir Alizadeh, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations and other international organizations.

Tatiana Malchen, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Commission for Europe and permanent representatives of member countries of the United Nations Special Program for Central Asian Economies and other international organizations in Geneva also participated in this meeting. .

During this meeting, the participants discussed issues related to strengthening regional trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the United Nations Special Program for Central Asian Economies and its agenda for 2024. It was reviewed.

It should be noted that this year, Tajikistan is in charge of this program (SPCA).

Program United Nations Special for Central Asian Economies was created in 1998 and is a union of self-sufficient countries united by common interests. The first meeting of the heads of this program was held in Baku on November 24, 2023.
