Nicholson, the special representative of the European Union for Afghanistan, announced in a press conference that Kyrgyzstan will host the meeting of the European Union and Central Asia focusing on Afghanistan in a week.

Nicolason also stated that in recent days, he had bilateral talks about Afghanistan with representatives of Europe, Japan, North America, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The EU Special Representative also said about the objectives of his four-day trip to Afghanistan: The main focus of the trip was to exchange views with actual officials, other Afghans and representatives of the diplomatic community to help us have realistic expectations for the upcoming meeting and for Let’s prepare for a constructive meeting in Doha.
