Fars News Agency International Group; Following the international reactions to Israel’s attacks on the last refuge of more than one million displaced people in Gaza, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court warned Israel about committing a crime in Rafah.
Karim Khan announced “I am deeply concerned about the reported bombing and possible ground invasion of Israeli forces in Rafah,” he said. My office has ongoing and active research on the situation in Palestine. It proceeds as a matter of urgency to prosecute those responsible for crimes under the Rome Statute.”
According to him, “all wars have rules and the rules applicable in armed conflicts cannot be interpreted in such a way to make them absurd or meaningless…I have not seen any noticeable change in Israel’s behavior…those who do not follow the law should not complain later”.
This English lawyer without Mentioning Israel, he clarified that “my office is actively investigating any crimes that are alleged to have occurred. Those who break the law will be held accountable.”
