The development of cooperation is the focus of the meeting between the authorities of Tajikistan and the FAO organization

According to the Fars News Agency reporter, in Dushanbe, “Ismatullah Nasreddin”, the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Tajikistan, met and talked with “Alig Guchgoldief”, the head of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in this country.

During this meeting, the two sides reviewed the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as well as the implementation process of the said organization’s projects in this country.

Tajikistan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations have been cooperating since the country joined the said organization in 1995. FAO assistance was initially focused on short-term emergency response to locust outbreaks as well as support during peace and stability after the civil war. Subsequently, the relationship between the two sides focused on reconstruction activities and Development was aimed at creating a sustainable agricultural sector and ensuring food and nutrition security.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is an international organization that was established in 1945 by 44 member countries of the United Nations. and is active in the field of agricultural development.

The goal of this organization, which is headquartered in Rome, Italy, is to raise the standard of living and improve the nutrition of the people of the world, proper distribution of food in the regions different parts of the world, creating food security, combating malnutrition by providing the necessary information to different countries.
