Uzbekistan: We have a common approach with America towards Afghanistan

According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Ismat Allah Irgashov, the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan affairs, in a meeting with the American ambassador, Jonathan Henick, while exchanging views on relations, bilateral cooperation and the Doha meeting, stated: Tashkent has a common approach with Washington towards Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also announced in a statement: In this meeting, the status of bilateral cooperation regarding Afghanistan was discussed, and the parties emphasized mutual cooperation to maintain systematic dialogue on the Afghan peace process. Also, consultations were held regarding the Doha meeting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan added: Tashkent and Washington’s approach and positions to solve the Afghanistan problem are compatible to a large extent.
Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs in January of last year also met with the American ambassador in Tashkent about the conditions Afghanistan and the efforts of the two countries to solve the Afghan crisis.
Uzbekistan and American representatives also emphasized that the Taliban are key demands of the international community, especially regarding the guarantee of women’s rights. And the girls should be provided for work and education.
Sources in the US government had previously told the media that Washington is negotiating with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to buy planes. and hand over Afghanistan’s helicopters to these countries for military support.
