United Nations: Hamas is not a terrorist organization

Martin Griffiths, the United Nations aid coordinator, said that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is not a terrorist organization.
According to Al Jazeera report, Griffiths added in a TV interview that aired yesterday Friday that the United Nations classifies Hamas as a political movement.
This UN official stated that it is very difficult for the Zionist regime to get rid of the armed groups without reaching a negotiated solution that guarantees their demands.
Griffiths also expressed concern about the possibility of the Zionist regime attacking the city of Rafah, which is a shelter for more than a million displaced people from other parts of the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that after the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7, Western countries took measures against the Hamas movement, including classifying it as a “terrorist organization” and targeting anyone who associates with it. .
Other countries, such as Russia, have taken a different stance towards Hamas, treating it as a political movement that represents a segment of the Palestinian people.
