Pashinyan and Aliyev meeting in Munich

The heads of the two countries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia met on Saturday on the sidelines of the Munich security meeting in the presence of the German Prime Minister.

On Saturday, media sources announced the meeting of the heads of state of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia in Germany.

According to “Pan Armenian” news agency, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, German Prime Minister Olaf Schultz and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev met with each other on the sidelines of the Munich security meeting.

More information about the important meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan has not been reported.

The heads of these two countries previously met in the city of “Brussels” in Belgium, hosted by “Charles Michel”, the president of the European Union Council.

Pashinyan previously held separate meetings with Shultz and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Pashinyan published a photo of his meeting with the US Foreign Minister on his X page (former Twitter) and gave explanations about it. The Prime Minister of Armenia stated that he had a “great meeting” with Anthony Blinken.

This meeting took place when the Prime Minister of Armenia said in an interview with the English newspaper “Telegraph” that his country has no intention to join NATO. According to him, Armenia does not want to choose a side between Russia and the West.

Explaining the meeting with the US Foreign Minister, Pashinyan announced that they discussed issues related to regional security and the latest developments, and he emphasized Armenia’s commitment to peace and stability.

Discussion about the “bilateral agenda” between Armenia and America formed another part of this meeting.

In another development, “Jihon Bayramov”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said on Saturday, in a meeting with “James O’Brien”, the US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, in the framework of the “Munich Security Meeting”, “Armenia must withdraw from its claims.” to give up against the Republic of Azerbaijan.”

Bayramov emphasized that the provocative actions of Armenia, which led to the injury of a soldier of this country, were aimed at weakening the peace process.
