Hamas’s decision to suspend negotiations until aid arrives in Gaza

Agence France-Presse quoted Palestinian sources as saying that Hamas has announced that it will stop negotiations if urgent aid does not arrive in northern Gaza.

Agence France-Presse quoted a senior Hamas official as saying that this movement intends to stop negotiations for the release of the hostages until aid arrives in northern Gaza.

This Hamas official told AFP: “While the Palestinian people are starving, it is not possible to negotiate.”

The United Nations World Food Program has warned that the people of Gaza are moving closer to “famine” and that there is the greatest concern in the north of the region, as aid agencies are unable to enter.

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of the Hamas movement, said today (Saturday) regarding the process of the ceasefire negotiations and the demands of the Palestinian side in these negotiations, that Hamas will not be satisfied with anything less than “a complete cessation of aggression” and “the lifting of the oppressive siege”.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said earlier on Thursday that reaching an agreement for a ceasefire is still possible, but there are some difficult issues on the way.

CNN news agency said in a report in this regard that the two sides disagree on the number of Palestinian prisoners and Zionist hostages that are supposed to be exchanged with each other.

Also, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime has previously claimed that he will not accept the complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from the Gaza Strip.
