Iraqi Kurdistan region’s excuse to keep US troops
One of the representatives of the Iraqi parliament criticized the excuses of some political currents in the Kurdistan region of this country with the aim of keeping American soldiers in this region. |
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News quoted by Al-Maluma, “Mohammed Saadoun”, one of the representatives of the Iraqi parliament, stated: the words of some officials of the Iraqi Kurdistan region about the existence of ISIS elements in the surrounding areas of this region are nothing more than an allegation.
He further added: These claims are completely baseless. The other policy of these people to make the situation in Iraq tense has been revealed to everyone after they reached a deadlock.
Saadoun added: The ISIS case in Iraq, including in the Kurdistan region, has been closed after the words of the government and security officials of this country. The words that come from this region are considered embarrassing and false because the security conditions are stable throughout Iraq.
He stated: The responsibility of the ISIS case rests solely with the central government of Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region has no right to declare a position in this regard. Some political currents in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq are trying to make excuses for the continued presence of American soldiers in this country by making such claims.
