Munich Declaration: Adherence to commitments is a prerequisite for Afghanistan’s integration into the international system

According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, foreign ministers 12 countries in a joint statement at the Munich security meeting stated that the Taliban government must fully respect international laws and human rights, including women’s education in Afghanistan.
Foreign Ministers Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Mongolia, the Netherlands and Romania published this statement on the second day of the Munich security meeting.
: Since the last Munich security conference in 2023, the Taliban government has not made any progress in the field of human rights in Afghanistan, especially the fundamental rights of women and girls, including the right to education.
These countries emphasized in the Munich statement that the Taliban government must fully comply with international laws, especially human rights laws, and the fundamental rights of all Afghans to protect including ethnic and religious minorities.
This statement stated that countries should use the legal tools at their disposal to end violations of international law, including the provisions of conventions international agreement which Afghanistan has signed.
