America wants North Korea to address human rights issues
The spokesperson of the US State Department called on North Korea to take measures to address human rights issues in the country. |
“We call on North Korea [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] to implement the recommendations of the 2014 UN Commission of Inquiry and respect human rights,” said US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, referring to the 10-year report published by the United Nations. Humanity should start a correction process.
It has previously claimed that Pyongyang is responsible for systematic human rights abuses and offers recommendations to improve the situation.
He claimed: “We also ask the international community to take immediate action to address the catastrophic human rights situation in North Korea.”
In its previous reports on human rights, the US State Department has condemned widespread violations in North Korea, including mass incarceration and forced labor.
North Korea’s official news agency, in its previous reports, considered America to be the country with the most violations of human rights and thirst for world domination, and accused it of interfering in the affairs of other countries.
