Nasser Hospital in Gaza was out of service

The director-general of the World Health Organization announced that Nasser Hospital in Gaza is completely out of service after a week of siege and continuous attacks.

The director-general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, announced today, Sunday, February 18, that Nasser Hospital in Gaza is completely out of service after a week of siege and continuous attacks.

“Nearly 200 patients are hospitalized in Nasser Hospital, of which 20 need to be transferred to other hospitals”, this is part of Gebrisos’ report today.

The director general of the World Health Organization further clarified that the Israeli army did not allow the aid teams of this organization to enter Nasser Hospital to assess the condition of the patients and their medical needs.

Today, on the 135th day of the war against Gaza, medical centers are surrounded by the occupying regime. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has warned since the past days that the Israeli army is continuously targeting the Amal and Naser hospitals in Khan Yunis with heavy artillery attack.

In the past few days, with the testimony of a number of patients due to the lack of oxygen and power cuts, the announcement of a lack of medical equipment, the testimony of the medical staff and the arrest of at least 100 civilians, concerns about the condition of the few remaining hospitals in Gaza have increased.

Palestinian Red Crescent Organization stated today that the Zionist occupiers have targeted the third floor of Amal Hospital with artillery attacks in continuation of their attacks on medical centers.

According to the medical sources of Gaza, since the beginning of the war in Gaza, 12,660 Palestinian children have been martyred in the attacks of the occupiers.
