Hamas welcomed the African leaders’ statement

The Hamas movement today (Sunday) welcomed the statement of the "African Union" condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza.

According to the report of the Palestinian news agency “Shahab”, the Hamas movement announced in a statement: We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) from the final statement of the 37th African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, was held, we welcome; Because this statement called for an end to the aggression against our people, the policy of mass punishment, the crime of genocide against the Palestinian nation, the lifting of the blockade and compliance with the decisions of the International Court of Justice about the Gaza Strip.

Hamas emphasized: We hope that this statement will be turned into practical steps by all friendly African countries to help stop the aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

In the continuation of this statement, it is emphasized: We also demand to cut off all relations with the criminal Zionist regime and support the struggles of the Palestinian people until they achieve their legitimate national rights, especially the formation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

This statement was issued after the heads of the “African Union” at the end of their meeting in Addis Ababa, strongly condemned the crimes of the Israeli regime against more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and called for an end to the siege and a permanent ceasefire. .

Today (Sunday), the heads of the African Union, in the final statement of their 37th meeting in the capital of Ethiopia, also asked the Zionist regime to respond positively to international requests for a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The heads of the African Union, while condemning the collective punishment of civilians in the Gaza Strip and trying to forcibly relocate them to the Sinai Peninsula, called for an end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

In this meeting, they condemned the aid of some countries to the Zionist regime and allowing this regime to continue military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In this statement, the heads of the African Union also called for an independent international investigation into violations of international humanitarian law, attacks on hospitals, journalists, and the media, as well as the use of prohibited weapons by the Zionist regime in the war against the Gaza Strip.
