reported Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Mayadin, a senior American military official acknowledged the power of Yemeni forces to challenge American naval power.
According to this report, the deputy commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) admitted that confronting the Yemeni forces in The Red Sea is considered the biggest naval battle of American forces after World War II.
“Brad Cooper” also said: “I think to find similar conflicts we have to go back to World War II, when ships were engaged in combat.”
He added that America has sent 7,000 troops to the Red Sea to confront the Yemeni forces.
