London sanctions Russia over Navalny’s death

London is considering imposing unilateral sanctions against Russia over the death of Navalny, a known opponent of Putin.

According to British media, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said on Saturday that the country will consider unilateral sanctions against Russia in connection with the death of Alexei Navalny, a Russian opposition figure.

Cameron added in his press statement on Saturday: “We are looking at whether there are people responsible and whether there are collective actions and individual actions that we can take. We don’t announce these actions in advance, so I can’t say more than that.”

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow considers the statements of Western politicians about Navalny’s death to be crazy and unacceptable, and there is still no final information from doctors and forensic experts about the cause of his death.

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also said that the immediate reaction of NATO leaders to the killing of Navalny and making direct accusations against Russia, while no results of the forensic investigation have been issued, pits the West against Russia and makes it worse. It will become the conditions.
