“Navalny”; Europe’s new excuse to embargo Russia

European Union officials are trying to impose new sanctions against the country due to the death of a pro-Western opponent of the Russian government.

report Mehr News Agency According to Reuters, the European Union is trying to use the death of “Alexei Navalny”, a pro-Western opponent of the Russian government, as an excuse to sanction Russia this time.

European Union countries, including Germany, on Monday called for new sanctions against Moscow due to the death of Alexei Navalny, a pro-Western opponent of the Russian government.

German Foreign Minister Analena Baerbock expressed hope that the 27 European Union countries will soon agree on the 13th package of Russian sanctions. EU officials say that could happen on Wednesday if Budapest agrees.

European Union officials have suggested that Russian prison officials linked to Navalny’s death be added to the list of new sanctions against Russia.

The prison center of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region of the Russian Federation in the Arctic Circle announced on Friday that Alexei Navalny died.

In the statement of this penitentiary, it is pointed out that Navalny was not in a “good mood” after his daily walk and immediately lost consciousness.
