The Arab group in the United Nations, while emphasizing its strong support for the draft resolution proposed by Algeria, encouraged all the members of the Security Council to vote for it.
According to the announcement of the Algerian Foreign Ministry, the voting for the draft ceasefire in Gaza will be held this Tuesday at 10:00 local time and 17:00 in Quds Sharif time.
In the draft presented by Algeria, while requesting for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stopping all hostile cases of violation of the rights of Palestinian civilians, they opposed the plan of their forced relocation and demanded the guarantee of continuous humanitarian aid to this region.
Linda Thomas Greenfield, the American representative to the United Nations, said in response to Algeria’s draft: “If the draft of the cease-fire resolution in Gaza is voted on in its current form, it will not be approved by us.
