Israel’s Joint Chiefs of Staff: A large-scale investigation of the army will begin soon

The Israel Army Radio, quoting the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of this regime, announced the beginning of extensive investigations of all the branches of the army in connection with the October 7 security failure in the near future.

Herzi Halevi, the head of Israel’s Joint Star, said that the internal investigation of all the branches and units of this regime’s army in connection with the events of October 7, 2023 (the day of the Al-Aqsa storm operation) will begin soon.

He told Israel Army Radio that this investigation will last three months.

It was previously announced that an investigative committee was formed to investigate the reasons for the security and military failure on the day of the operation by Hamas forces.

According to Channel 12, this research team includes Shaul Mofaz, Minister of Security and former Chief of Staff of the Zionist Army, Aharon Zevi Farkash, former head of the Military Intelligence Department, and Sami Turgman, former commander of the Southern Region of the Israeli Army.

Also, the heads of the security forces, who previously accepted responsibility for the failure on Black Saturday [October 7th], have said that they will resign at the appropriate time. Bar, the head of Shabak [Israel’s internal security agency] and Aharon Haleiwa, the head of Aman [military intelligence], are among these officials. However, as long as the war continues, these people will remain in their positions.

According to the Hebrew media, the widespread infiltration of Hamas forces into Israeli settlements is considered the “biggest security failure since 1948”; The operation was accompanied by the killing and wounding of hundreds of soldiers and settlers and the capture of hundreds of others.
