Moscow intends to develop relations with North Korea and it is doing so

The spokesperson of the Russian government announced that this country intends to expand its relations with North Korea.

reported by Mehr News Agency Citing Sputnik, “Dmitry Peskov”, the spokesman of the Kremlin Palace, announced that Moscow intends to develop its relations with North Korea and will do so.

Yesterday Monday, a senior European Union official in Brussels announced that the European Union is considering the possibility of imposing sanctions against North Korea for sending military equipment to Russia. This European official answered a question in This field said: “Sanctions are one of the ways to deal with this situation.”

He pointed out that the European Union is sure that Pyongyang has supplied Moscow with weapons, saying: “These weapons have been used on the battlefield in Ukraine.”

On January 26, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow categorically rejects any attempt by Washington and its allies to accuse Russia of illegal military-technical cooperation with North Korea.

The foreign ministers of 47 countries, including the United States, members of the European Union and a number of their partners, issued a joint statement in early January, claiming that Russia had purchased ballistic missiles from North Korea and “used them against Ukraine”.

Hungary and Slovakia were the two EU countries that did not sign this declaration.

On February 10, Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang, Alexander Matsgura, revealed that Washington raised the issue of Russia’s alleged purchase of weapons from North Korea in order to encourage South Korea to supply Ukraine with ammunition.

Earlier, John Kirby, the National Security Council’s strategic communications coordinator at the White House, said that the United States, despite Moscow’s denials, believed that Russia had fired missiles from the People’s Republic of Korea. He bought it and uses it to attack Ukraine. However, he did not provide any evidence for his claim.

North Korea has repeatedly denied statements by the media and Western officials about the alleged shipment of military equipment to Russia.
