According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Rashatodi, Gabriela Sommerfeld, Ecuador’s foreign minister officially announced that the country’s government has abandoned its decision to send used military equipment made by the former Soviet Union to Ukraine.
Sommerfeld emphasized: Ecuador is persistently looking for a peaceful solution to resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine within the framework of international regulations.
He added: Ecuador will not send any military equipment to a country that is involved in a cross-border armed conflict.
Daniel Noboa, the President of Ecuador said in December that Quito is willing to receive military equipment in exchange. Modern to deliver used and obsolete equipment made by the former Soviet Union to Ukraine worth 200 million euros from America.
Sommerfeld said at that time that the equipment in question was “unusable” and that Kito would dispose of this equipment as he saw fit. Get over it, it’s not “illegal”!
Previously, Moscow had criticized this plan and announced that such an action violates agreements related to the transfer of military equipment to the country or a third party without Russia’s permission.
