UN official: Nasser Hospital has become a “place of death”.

An official of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs expressed his concern about the situation of Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza.

Jonathan Vital, the senior humanitarian affairs officer at the United Nations, who was sent to the besieged Nasser hospital in southern Gaza during a mission, said about its situation: “There are 150 patients in one of these buildings. They have no food and water and no electricity. There are very few doctors and nurses left in this hospital”.

According to Al Jazeera, Vital described the conditions of Nasser Hospital as “terrible” and said: “The corridors of the hospital are full of corpses.” Patients are in a desperate situation. This has become a place of death, not healing.”

Zionist military forces attacked Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis neighborhood in southern Gaza last week. The Zionist regime’s attack on this hospital takes place when, in addition to the patients, hundreds of Palestinian refugees sought refuge in it in search of a “safe” place.

This hospital was out of service two days ago. However, it is said that a small number of patients are still hospitalized there. The World Health Organization has expressed concern about the safety of these patients.

It should be said, after 4 months of conflict, only 11 hospitals out of 36 hospitals in Gaza are working.
