Russia and Ukraine peace terms from Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister said: Neither Ukraine nor its Western supporters are willing to end the conflict with Russia. |
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: Ukraine and its western supporters have no desire to end the conflict with Russia.
He said: in order to establish peace in Ukraine, this country must return to a “neutral and non-nuclear” position and accept “new territorial realities”.
Lavrov said in a conversation with a Brazilian media: Russia welcomes a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine issue, but “Kiev and the West do not show the necessary political determination to resolve this conflict.”
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Ukrainian leaders and supporters of this country still insist on the peace formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky; A plan that, according to Lavrov, is “an unacceptable deadline for Russia.” He said that Ukraine and the Western authorities will blindly reject any other proposal to end this war, other than Zelensky’s proposal.
“We don’t have any options,” Lavrov said. Special military operations will continue to achieve our goals
At the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, Russia named “de-Nazification and demilitarization” of Ukraine as one of its goals and “Ukraine’s desire to join NATO” as one of the motivations for its attack on this country.
The Russian Foreign Minister said: He is pessimistic about the restoration of relations between Russia and the European Union, and he also noted that both the Republican and Democratic parties of the United States consider Russia “a threat and an enemy”. He said: We are not delusional. We do not expect America to change its anti-Russian policy in the near future.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier this week: Unlike NATO countries, Russia sees the conflict in Ukraine as a “matter of life and death”.
At the beginning of this month, in a conversation with Tucker Carlsen, a famous and controversial American presenter, he said that Russia has not yet achieved its goal of eliminating the ideology of Nazism in Ukraine.
