In today’s session, which is the third one-week session of this court, the representatives of America and Egypt expressed their positions.
The American representative at the International Court of Justice said: There is great international support for a solution that leads to the formation of a Palestinian state.
This American official further claimed that there are difficult options to establish real security and peace. He also said: the court should not accept the proposal of some parties to review the actions of only one party.
On the other hand, in today’s session of the International Court of Justice, the representative of Egypt stated: Israel continues to kill in Gaza and continues to impose siege and famine.
Yasmin Moussa, advisor to the Egyptian Foreign Minister, emphasized: Israel continues its illegal actions in the West Bank and supports the violence of the settlers. Settlements continue in the West Bank and the number of settlers has reached 750,000. The losses of the Palestinian nation should be compensated by immediately stopping the occupation, stopping the annexation of lands and displacing the residents.
The representative of Egypt pointed out that from Egypt’s point of view, it is impossible to leave the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem in the current situation, and emphasized that the occupation of the Zionist regime is an illegal settlement operation. He added: The policy of forced relocation is a clear violation of international laws and is classified as ethnic cleansing.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba also stated on behalf of his country: The Republic of Cuba believes that instead of talking about the apartheid structure, this structure should be tried on the charge of committing mass murder in Palestine.
He further asked the International Court of Justice to hold the Zionist regime responsible for the systematic violations of international laws in the Palestinian territories. This Cuban official emphasized: The approved agreement against mass killing imposes punishments on its perpetrators, and this punishment includes all those who are currently opposing the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.
The representative of Colombia also said: Israel is violating the UN Charter and has occupied Palestinian lands and deprived its people of the right to self-determination. The court is aware of the all-out war started by Israel and the current events in Gaza.
