Medvedev: “Doomsday” is near

The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council emphasized that the threats of the West to send fighters to Ukraine have brought the doomsday closer.

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy head of the Russian Security Council, warned against the risk of an accidental and unintended nuclear conflict and said that the ticking clock of the doomsday clock has accelerated significantly.

According to Tass news agency, he said: There are incidents that no one is safe from, the accidental occurrence of a nuclear conflict cannot be ruled out, so all these games around Ukraine are very dangerous.

Medvedev mentioned the possibility that NATO is constantly talking about the possible supply of F-16 warplanes to Kiev. Currently there is no place for them in Ukraine.

He further added: If any of these planes take off from one of the NATO countries, what is this? This is an attack on Russia. I won’t even explain what might happen.

Medovev said the doomsday clock has sped up significantly, referring to Western leaders who keep repeating that Russia is only afraid, but will not do anything, and said: “I tell them that a nuclear conflict is a real scenario.” It should be avoided. The situation now is more tense than during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

Moscow has the largest number of nuclear warheads in the world, and according to the country’s nuclear doctrine, an attack on Russian soil allows the president of this country to use a nuclear bomb.

It is worth noting that the war in Ukraine started on February 24, 2022, following the West’s attempt to expand the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to Russia’s borders.
