Any North Korean nuclear attack would end Kim’s rule
The US Deputy Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security warned about any nuclear attack by North Korea. |
US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins claimed on Thursday that any nuclear attack by North Korea would lead to “the end of the Kim regime”.
Yonhap reported. Jenkins made the comments while attending a forum hosted by the Korea Forum in New York amid growing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
He added: Any nuclear attack by North Korea against South Korea will be met with a quick, decisive and strong response. Jenkins also referred to the cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, calling it “a very serious concern and a serious threat” and claiming that this cooperation enables Russia to continue its war in Ukraine.
We’re looking at all of our tools to figure out how we can enhance and adjust our tools to address a very troubling situation and a very dangerous relationship,” Jenkins said.
North Korea previously threatened to respond with a nuclear response if the US deploys aircraft carriers, bombers and nuclear submarines in South Korea.
Also, North Korea’s defense minister announced at the 11th International Security Conference in Moscow that the world is just one step away from a nuclear war. North Korea’s Defense Minister warned: Now the question is not whether a nuclear war will start on the Korean Peninsula, but only the question of who will start this nuclear war and when. Because this year alone, the United States has sent an immense amount of strategic weapons to the region, including a nuclear-capable submarine, an aircraft carrier group, and a nuclear-capable bomber.
