The European Union included 194 individuals and entities in its new sanctions against Russia

The European Union announced this Friday that it has targeted a total of 194 individuals and legal entities in its 13th package of sanctions against Russia.

In line with Washington, which sanctioned 500 Russian individuals and institutions in connection with the death of Alexei Navalny in a prison in Russia, the European Union announced measures on the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine. It imposes restrictions on 106 other individuals and 88 entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

According to Sputnik, as a result of the package of new sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities related to the situation in Ukraine, a total of more than 2,000 people are included in these sanctions.

The European Union said today that in its 13th package of sanctions against Russia, it will sanction 27 companies that support Russian military actions, including in third countries: “They are subject to stricter export restrictions on dual-use goods and technologies as well as There will be goods and technology that may help in strengthening the technology of the defense and security sector of Russia.”

Some of these entities are located in third countries including India, Sri Lanka, China, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Turkey and have been involved in circumventing Russian trade restrictions.

The European Union has announced that Russian entities are also involved in the development, production and supply of electronic components for the Russian military and industrial complex.

The European Commission also announced that the European Union has included North Korea’s defense minister and several Belarusian companies in the 13th package of sanctions against Russia.
