Baku: Armenia’s claims are baseless
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan published a statement and called the words of the Prime Minister of Armenia about Baku's preparations for an attack on Yerevan "baseless claims". |
“The leadership of Armenia has no interest in advancing the agenda of peace with the Republic of Azerbaijan”, this was said by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan against the recent words of the Prime Minister of Armenia.
According to the ministry’s statement, “the aim of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s baseless claims against our country in an interview with France 24 television channel is to inflict another blow on the peace process by deliberately creating tension in the region”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan stated that “after the last meeting of the heads of state at the initiative of the German chancellor, such statements by Armenia and the choice of France as the place of objection to such statements, disrespect for Germany’s efforts by Armenia, show the continuation of the harmful influence of France.” This country is on the peace process”.
This Ministry refers to the recent meeting between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, which was hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Schultz.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Pashinyan’s words about Baku preparing to attack Armenia “are meant to distort reality and deceive the international community”.
This statement states: “Everyone knows very well that the leadership of Armenia has no interest in advancing the agenda of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
In this statement, the Republic of Azerbaijan asked Armenia to stop “aggressive rhetoric”, “put aside statements that undermine the prospects of peace, and use the opportunities created to transform the South Caucasus region into a space of peace and cooperation”. .
