Resumption of Gaza ceasefire negotiations in Paris

A Hamas official announced on Friday that the movement is waiting to receive new proposals for a ceasefire in Gaza from mediators.

An informed source told the Reuters news agency that negotiations between each of the mediators – the US, Egypt and Qatar – on the ceasefire in Gaza have begun separately with the head of the Mossad intelligence service.

This informed source expressed optimism regarding the beginning of serious negotiations regarding the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.

2 Egyptian sources who wanted to remain anonymous said that “Abbas Kamel”, the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Organization, who had a meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of the Hamas movement, will go to Paris to negotiate with the Zionist authorities.

An informed official of Hamas, who wanted to remain anonymous, said that this movement did not present any new proposals during the meeting with the Egyptians, but it is waiting for the mediators to return from the negotiations with the Zionist regime.

He said: We talked with them and we will wait for their return from Paris.

The previous round of negotiations on a cease-fire in Gaza did not come to fruition due to Tel Aviv’s opposition to Hamas’ proposals.

The Hamas resistance has emphasized that it has dealt with the proposed plan of the Paris meeting in a positive spirit, with the aim of including a complete ceasefire, ending the war in Gaza, rebuilding it, lifting the blockade of this strip and exchanging prisoners.
