According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kyiv.
According to Reuters, four Western leaders, including the prime ministers of Italy, Canada and Belgium, arrived in Kyiv on Saturday to express their solidarity with Ukraine.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Meloni, as the head of the G7 group of countries, held the first meeting of this year with the leaders of this group, in which Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Von der Leyen and Trudeau will participate in Kiev.
These 4 senior European officials arrived by train from Poland. Before the virtual summit, Meloni will have a bilateral meeting with Zelensky, after which they may announce the security agreement that Kiev has already signed with Berlin, Paris and London.
Fon der Line published a message on X social network and wrote: We stand by Ukraine stronger than ever. Financially, economically, militarily and morally.”
A few hours ago, David Cameron and Radoslaw Sikorski, the foreign ministers of England and Poland, warned that failure to stand against Russia’s attack on Ukraine will lead to the formation of a new world.
David Cameron and Radoslaw Sikorsky wrote in a joint article in Politico magazine on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Russian military operation in Ukraine that “it is in the interest of America – and all allies” that more money is available to Ukraine – for the war efforts of this country. In this article, they also asked the Western leaders not to fail “in the biggest test of this generation”.
This joint request comes as Republicans in the United States continue to resist an agreement on new funding for the war-torn country, and Sikorsky continued to write, “The enemies of the reaction We are being monitored. Will we stay with Ukraine? Will we stand up to Putin’s invasion? The consequences of failure will not only be felt in Ukraine, but will remake the world as we know it.
The foreign ministers of the two countries also asked their allies to review “stockpiles” for equipment that could be sent to Ukraine “quickly” and talk about game-changing systems like the F-16 fighter jets. They also proposed using seized Russian assets to help rebuild Ukraine, a proposal that has met with resistance in some European capitals.
