Euromed’s request to members of the International Court of Justice to cut ties with Israel
The European-Mediterranean human rights watchdog Euromed calls on members of the International Court of Justice to sever all ties with Israel over genocide. |
The European-Mediterranean human rights watchdog known as EuroMed (EuroMed) this Saturday asked all the member countries of the International Court of Justice to end all their political, economic and military relations with Israel due to the clear violation of the decisions of this court that called for the cessation of genocide. are in the Gaza Strip, cut it off.
This call was based on the belief that the continuation of these relations means supporting and confirming Israel’s violation of the decision of the International Court of Justice. Euromed said that such support encourages the occupation regime to persist in its genocidal actions against the Palestinian people.
Euromed also condemned repeated violations of the court order by Israel.
Since the issuance of the verdict of the International Court of Justice, Israeli occupation forces have martyred more than 3847 Palestinians, including 1306 children and 807 women, and injured about 5119 Palestinians.
More than 29,600 Palestinians have been martyred since the beginning of this regime’s attacks on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
Euromed calls for decisive international pressure to send the necessary humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip immediately, to prevent the spread of famine in the Gaza Strip, and pressure for the entry of international investigative committees and the United Nations to prevent the destruction of evidence related to the crimes that ” “Israel” committed in the Gaza Strip.
UN experts: arms exports to Israel must be stopped
More than 30 independent UN experts stated that any transfer of arms or ammunition to Israel for use in Gaza is likely to violate international humanitarian law and should be stopped immediately.
According to the United Nations, the parties to the Arms Trade Treaty undertake to refrain from exporting weapons if they know that these weapons will be used to commit international crimes or there is a significant risk that these weapons will be used to commit serious human rights violations.
