A group of protesting French farmers held a protest rally at the agricultural products exhibition in Paris this Saturday, shouting “Macron resign Give it” they shouted.
This rally took place at the same time as French President Emmanuel Macron attended the exhibition and talked with a group of farmers.
Paris police pushed back protesting farmers who were trying to reach Macron.
After meeting with the farmers’ unions, the French president stressed: I ask everyone to keep calm because violence only hinders progress. Regarding the country’s agricultural crisis, Macron said that resolving tensions takes time and cannot be achieved overnight.
The French president stressed that the current tensions and crisis will not be resolved in this exhibition.
French farmers entered Paris today with their tractors, and an hour later, a clash between dozens of farmers and the police took place at the annual French agricultural exhibition.
