Sunak: The West should be bolder in confiscating Russian assets

In an article in the Sunday Times published early Sunday, Sonak wrote that Ukraine needs more aid, drones, ammunition and long-range weapons.
In this article written on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Ukrainian war, he added: We should be bolder in targeting Russia’s war economy. We must also be bolder in confiscating hundreds of billions of dollars in frozen Russian assets.
The British Prime Minister asked America to continue financial and military support to Ukraine. He wrote: We should never underestimate the work that America has done for Euro-Atlantic security and Ukraine. I ask them to continue their support. I am sure they will continue this support.
While the British Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that another 311 million dollars will help supply ammunition to Ukrainian artillery.
Investment Minister Dominic Johnson discussed the confiscation of frozen assets with US Deputy Treasury Secretary Vali Ademi last month. But he emphasized that the confiscation of these assets should be done according to international laws.
The European Union, the United States, Japan and Canada have frozen about 300 billion dollars of assets of the Russian Central Bank. The G7 member countries are considering ways to confiscate these assets and pay them to Ukraine as war compensation.
