Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America, was able to defeat his rival Nikki Haley, the former ambassador of the United States to the United Nations, in the primary election of the Republican Party for the 2024 presidential election in South Carolina on Saturday, March 5th (local time).

According to the Reuters news agency, Nikki Haley, who had served as the governor of South Carolina twice, hoped to defeat Trump this time in this area.

With about 80% of the votes counted, Donald Trump has managed to get more than 60% of the votes and Nikki Haley has won 39% of the votes in the Republican Party primaries in South Carolina.
