The trip of a Zionist delegation to Doha for prisoner exchange negotiations

Hebrew newspaper Yediot Aharonot announced that a Zionist delegation will arrive in Qatar on Monday to discuss with mediators the details of a prisoner exchange with Hamas in exchange for a temporary ceasefire in the ongoing devastating war.

According to this newspaper, the Zionist delegation consists of representatives of the Mossad intelligence service and the army of this regime and will arrive in Qatar on Monday, although Hamas has not yet responded to the new outline of the agreement that was presented to the mediators at the Paris meeting.

This Zionist newspaper said that the negotiations in Doha will be at the level of experts and not at the level of heads of security organizations. Yediot Aharonot talks about the cautious optimism that has prevailed in the occupied territories due to the recent flexibility of Hamas in its demands, and for this reason it was decided to continue the negotiations to achieve progress.

According to the same newspaper, in these negotiations, all the issues related to the agreement, including the list of names of the prisoners in Gaza who will be released and the identity of the Palestinian prisoners who are expected to be released, are to be reviewed. There will also be discussions about the ceasefire process, including the withdrawal of the Zionist army from Palestinian cities in the Gaza Strip, the cessation of espionage by the Zionist regime during the ceasefire period, and the limited return of citizens from the south to the north.

This newspaper, quoting sources familiar with the negotiations, said: Contrary to the previous agreement, now the discussion is about a closed deal, which includes only 40 captives, including women, the elderly, and the sick. Israel intends to press for the addition of female soldiers, but their inclusion in the agreement is not certain.

Yediot Aharonot sources warned that Netanyahu’s continued threat of military operations in Rafah (south of the Gaza Strip) along with talks could lead to the failure of negotiations and the hardening of Hamas positions. They stated that even if an agreement is eventually reached, it is not yet clear whether it will have the support of Netanyahu’s right-wing allies.
