The Israeli war cabinet is currently negotiating to find alternative organizations for the UNRWA to distribute Help is in the Gaza Strip.
The aim is to ensure that humanitarian aid does not reach Hamas, according to a report in The Times of Israel on Monday, citing an Israeli official.
This source added: There are talks with other humanitarian groups in Gaza. In addition, Israel plans to deliver aid to the northern part of the Gaza Strip, as around 300 trucks carrying humanitarian aid will arrive in Gaza today.
Previously, “Philippe Lazzarini”, the Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), criticized the lack of cooperation of Western countries in sending aid to Gaza yesterday.
The Al Jazeera news network reported, quoting Lazzarini, that the last time we were able to send food aid to the north of the Gaza Strip was last February 23.
He stated that if there is a real political will, it is still possible to prevent the occurrence of famine in Gaza.
Israel has brought charges against UNRWA staff and has claimed that they are connected to Hamas and were involved in the October 7 attacks on Israel. They have also claimed that around 1,468 workers are active members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
