Hoffmann said, noting that the investigation in Germany is being conducted by the public prosecutor’s office: “The German government remains interested in ensuring that this act of sabotage is investigated and who is behind it.”
“Based on the investigation, the authorities can conclude that the vandalism of the gas pipelines was intentional,” Danish police said in a statement on Monday. Therefore, the Copenhagen police decided to end the criminal investigation into the bombings.
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, described the Danish police’s decision to stop the investigation into sabotage of Nord Stream gas pipelines as absurd and shocking.
Pskov emphasized that Russia will monitor the investigation into the acts of sabotage that took place on the Nord Stream lines and will use its capabilities to obtain information about them.
