According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from Sputnik, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced by releasing images that it has arrested 49 members of a financial network supplying terrorist groups in Syria in a nationwide operation.
According to the Federal Security Service of Russia, this operation was carried out simultaneously in 22 regions of Russia.
FSB issued a statement late last month that a terrorist attack against a political figure in the Zaporizhia region had been prevented. The statement said that “this crime was supposed to be committed by Vitaly Dyatlenko, a Russian citizen who was employed by the Ukrainian security service.”
According to the FSB, during an attempt to arrest Dyatlenko, he offered armed resistance and was neutralized. This operation did not result in any material damage or human casualties.
Russia’s Federal Security Service also announced in mid-February that “Ilya Ponomarev”, a former member of the State Duma of this country (who is known as a foreign agent) has been accused of high treason.
