According to Webangah News quoted by Tasnim News agency, the 16th joint consular, border and customs commission of Iran and Turkmenistan Under the chairmanship of Alireza Bekdali, Deputy Consular, Majlis and Iranians of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and Ahmad Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was held in Tehran.
The two sides discussed consular issues, especially facilitating the affairs of drivers, the opening of Marzi Bazaar. And they discussed consular support, law enforcement cooperation, border affairs and customs issues.
At the end of the meeting, the memorandum of understanding of this joint meeting was signed. In this meeting, the two sides, while expressing their interest in the all-round improvement of the level of bilateral relations, mentioned the neighborhood, cultural commonality and people-to-people relations of the two countries as important indicators in relations.
