Cut off electricity to settlers in case of war with Hezbollah

The Ministry of Justice of the Zionist regime announced that the war in the north of the occupied territories with Hezbollah may cut off the electricity of 60% of the settlers.

According to what the Zionist newspaper Haaretz reported on Thursday, the occupation regime’s Ministry of Justice published a list of equipment that it advises its employees to purchase, fearing what the ministry described as a dark scenario.

This scenario requires the storage of a list of equipment provided by the ministry based on the expectation of power outages in the event of a large-scale Hezbollah missile attack from the Lebanese border.

Details of the list were reported by Haaretz, the ministry advised its employees to secure generators because the war in the north could lead to power cuts for 60 percent of the settlers.

The Ministry of Justice of the Zionist regime also recommended that the settlers prepare anti-epileptic drugs and provide garbage bags, medicine, chargers and gas stoves, in addition to food and water.

The newspaper talked about the financial cost of stocking these necessities and stated that they cost at least 3,000 shekels, which means that those looking to get the latest equipment will have to spend several times their salary.

Haaretz emphasized the difficulty of the settlers to finance this list and noted that some of these people lost their jobs in the last economic quarter of 2023 and the reservists were drowned in debt.

The settlers’ rush to buy generators showed the extent of their real fear of the outbreak of war with Lebanon and its consequences on their home front, as an electrical store owner told Zionist media that he had sold thousands of generators to panicked customers.

In an interview that Haaretz conducted with one of the settlers, he said that this is not the first time that they have suffered from this fear, and he explained that two days after the escalation of tensions with Lebanon, the command of the Home Front recommended the reserve He had made water and food for 72 hours, which caused the shelves of food stores to be empty.

In addition to fear, a sense of inferiority prevails among the settlers, as confirmed in the interview, and the settlers criticized the performance of the political authorities as they have repeatedly shown their inability to care for the settlers.
